  In a country demanding small businesses to prosper this will undoubtedly be the next to fail, but only through the fault of its owner.
  A party of ten arriving at the empty and overpriced cafe should have made him weak at the knees but on this occasion it was quite the opposite. Firstly, a lack of kids menus on the table resulted in us ordering adult meals for the children, none were offered it was only when the food came out that we discovered a kids menu was available.
  No tap water? Even for a 1 year old? Come on, there's being stuck on a budget and then there's plain rude. His excuse for this is his mortgage? I can tell you now that he will have more than charging for water to worry about when the cafe only two minutes up the road is heaving with customers and this is empty.
  The food did not match its asking price either, we weren't even able to add pickle to the cheese sandwich for one of the children.
  A small independent family run business should offer the flexibility that is sometimes lacking from a national or regional chain, this helps repeat business and recommendation. It should also offer a polite and inviting environment which was only offered by a polite bye and thank you when we finally got to leave.
